Okay, so the title is a little misleading. . .we didn't actually have dinner WITH the Prophet, more like at the same diner. It all happened one Friday night at Dee's Restaurant in Salt Lake. We were having a little pre-Father's Day celebration and in walked President Monson with his wife. After they got settled, we gently scooted over to visit them (not wanting them to feel like we were intruding on their dinner date.) We shook hands, shared encouraging words, and asked for a photo with Lucy. He kindly obliged and even let Lucy grab onto one of his fingers. What a blessed experience we were able to have!

I was going to tease you for sending out a mass email when you have a blog...you can just post to the blog and people will see! but I still do it too! That's so cool, what a neat pic to show Lucy someday!

You know it's funny, somehow I forget that even the prophet needs to go out for a dinner date once in awhile. Your story makes him seem that much more real to me. I think it's awesome that you took the time to talk to him - I would have completely chickened out.
